Author Guidelines

General Guidelines for Authors

  1. Softcopy articles are written in MS Word format, Times New Roman 11 font.
  2. The length of the article is between 10-20 pages with quarto 1 spacing, around 4,000 - 8,000 words, written in Indonesian, English, or Arabic.
  3. Title., The title must be short, clear, and informative, but no more than 12 words. The title must be right on target with the issue being discussed. The title of the article must not contain unusual abbreviations. The main idea must be written first and followed by an explanation.
  4. Author's name and institution, The author's name must be accompanied by the author's institution, institutional address, and email address, without academic degrees and positions.
  5. Abstract, The abstract is written in Indonesian and English. The abstract is made in one paragraph consisting of background, objectives, research methods, results, conclusions, and keywords (3-5 phrases).
  6. The article is written in the form of Footnotes. Author, Title, Place of Publisher: Publisher Name, Year.
  7. Author Guidelines for Horizons Journal

1)      This journal invites academics and experts working in the fields of Education and Social.

2)      Articles must be original, research-based, unpublished, and not under review for possible publication in other journals.

3)      Manuscripts must be typed in MS Document format, single-spaced on A4 paper size, 10 to 20 pages, or around 4,000-8,000 words.

4)      The title of the article is written no more than 15 words.

5)      All submissions must include an abstract of 150 - 250 words and 3-5 keywords.

6)      The full name of the author must be mentioned, along with their institution and email address;

7)      Articles must be typed in footnotes with Chicago Manual Style.

8)      The sections of the article consist of: (1) INTRODUCTION, (2) METHODOLOGY, (3) FINDINGS AND DISCUSSION, (4) CONCLUSION (5) SUGGESTIONS.

References should be recorded in footnotes and references according to CMS style. When a source is cited for the first time, complete information is given: the author's full name, the title of the source in italics, the place of publication, the publishing company, and the page quoted. For subsequent citations of the same source, include the author's last name, two or three words from the title, and the specific page number.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal the right of first publication, with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
